Beschreibung

Das aus dem Verdauungstrakt mit den angeschlossenen Drüsen bestehende Verdauungssystem sorgt für Zerkleinerung und Aufnahme der Lebensmittel. Auf ihrem Weg durch den Verdauungstrakt durchlaufen die Lebensmittel verschiedene Bereiche mit speziellen Funktionen. Sie alle werden vom enterischen Nervensystem koordiniert, auch „Abdominalgehirn“ genannt.
